My wife, Steph, and our kids are the center of my life. Real estate is a big part of what I do, but it isn’t the thing I want people to know me by first. I’m a husband and a dad before I’m a real estate broker, and a lot of the way I look at work comes from wanting to be someone my family can be proud of.
Steph and I are raising a blended family, and our kids are at very different stages of life. Home for us is busy, loud, changing fast and, most days, pretty great. Having kids has changed the way I look at houses, too. I notice the things that never make it into the listing remarks — whether everyone has a place to land at the end of the day, whether a layout works when life gets messy, and whether a house actually fits the family living in it. That matters to me because I’m not just helping people buy property. I’m helping them choose where a lot of their life is going to happen.
I started in real estate in 2022, and it took off faster than I expected. Since then I’ve been involved in more than 100 transactions and became one of the co-founders of VRG Realty here in the Tri-Cities. I love the strategy of the business — pricing a house correctly, reading a negotiation, finding the problem in a deal before it becomes a bigger one — but the part I value most is earning enough trust that people call me before they make a decision, not after.
Outside of real estate, I serve as a youth pastor. My faith is a major part of my life, but I don’t need every person I work with to believe what I believe. What matters to me is that it shows up in how I treat people: tell the truth, keep your word, own mistakes, don’t take advantage of someone just because you can, and remember that a commission is never more important than the person sitting across from you.
Family, church, work and community make life pretty full, and somewhere in the middle of all of that I spend a lot of time training. Health and fitness have become a genuine passion of mine. I like the discipline of it, the process of getting better at something slowly, and the fact that there really aren’t many shortcuts that work for very long.
The Tri-Cities is home for us. It’s where we’re raising our family, where I serve, where I volunteer and where I’ve built my business. Most of my real estate work is in Kennewick, Pasco, Richland and West Richland, along with the surrounding Southeastern Washington communities.
I don’t expect every client to become a close friend, but I do want the relationship to outlast the closing table. If we worked together three years ago and you call me because you’re thinking about remodeling, refinancing, moving, buying an investment property, or you just want to know what your house might be worth now, I want that call. To me, that’s a much better measure of whether I did the job right than simply getting another transaction closed.

Approach
How I work
I’ll tell you what I know. I’ll tell you when I don’t know. And I’ll give you my opinion when I think it’s useful.
No pressure, no urgency games. I lay out what I’m seeing, tell you what I would do in your position, and let you make the call.
If I think you’re about to buy the wrong house, I’ll say so. If I think you’re overthinking a good one, I’ll say that too. And if you’re selling and the price you want isn’t realistic, I’d rather have that conversation upfront than promise a number just to win the listing.
When I don’t know something, I say “I don’t know” and then go find the answer. Bluffing through a contract question is how people get hurt.
Real estate rarely goes exactly according to plan.
- Inspections uncover things.
- Appraisals surprise people.
- Financing changes.
- Timelines move.
- Buyers get nervous, sellers get frustrated.
That’s where experience earns its keep. My job is to help you understand what’s happening, explain the options in front of you, and help you make the best decision you can with the information we actually have.
Personal
More than real estate
Real estate is what I do. It isn't the only thing that matters to me.
Husband & dad
Family comes first, and it sets the pace for everything else. I keep those details private, but they're the reason I care about doing this job well and being home for the people who count on me.
Youth pastor & faith
I serve as a youth pastor and spend real time with young people and families. My faith shapes how I think about integrity, service and the responsibility that comes with advising someone through a big financial decision.
Health & fitness
I'm a bit of a health-and-fitness nut. I like training, learning how the body works, pushing myself and seeing what consistency does over years instead of weeks.
Community
I volunteer and stay involved locally. The Tri-Cities isn't just my market — it's where I live, serve and know people, and that shows up in how I talk about neighborhoods.
Experience
What 100+ transactions taught me
Two houses on the same street can behave completely differently once you’re under contract. Experience isn’t worth much when everything goes smoothly — it matters the day an inspection report comes back long, an appraisal lands somewhere nobody expected, financing shifts, or a timeline moves and the plan has to be rewritten.
Inspections are a good example. Almost every house has a list. What matters is context: which items are normal for a home of that age, which ones cost real money, and which ones are worth walking away over. Panic isn’t a strategy, and neither is pretending nothing is wrong.
Negotiation is mostly preparation and information — knowing what the other side likely needs, and what you can live with before emotions run the conversation.
People make better decisions when they’re given clear options instead of pressure, especially when they’re stressed. Sometimes the right advice is to walk away from a house you like. Sometimes it’s to stop overthinking a good one and write the offer. Knowing which conversation to have is most of the job.

“As first-time homebuyers, we weren't entirely sure what to expect from a realtor. We chose someone who seemed like a good fit at first, but unfortunately, communication significantly declined once our offer was accepted. Jason was the seller's realtor, yet he consistently went above and beyond—not only for his clients but for us as…

“We were lucky to randomly find Jason. He was a great communicator and helped us through our first home buy. We had no idea what we were doing, but he was good at keeping us informed. Jason was professional, organized and timely. Once we owned the home, I expected not to hear from him because the transaction was completed, but he checked…
